After
grinding,
warming,
bending, and
sawing
channel iron on the
Kalakala all morning with
Andi and
Bill, we went to
Voula's for lunch.
When it came time to pay, Bill loooked
into his wallet and found less there than he expected. "Where does the money
go?" he asked.
Maybe it's because I've been reading
Howard
Zinn and volunteering for Ralph
Nader, but the answer came without even thinking: "Straight to
the top."
We walked back to the boat in the
rain and
got on with the job. It's
a seemingly hopeless task, but
that's the appeal.
