Thanks
to happy distractions of friends and family
in Minneapolis, we got off to a much later start
than planned, drove through driving rain of Western
Minnesota, ate another few feet of Subway veggie
sandwiches, and finally turned off the interstate in
North Dakota to enjoy the spectacle of postcard clouds
and prairie wind rippling a sea of grain. Joe
ran up the road and back, then he and Molly
posed next to sliding door of minivan--
perfect photo for a band. Now, if only
we'd brought some instruments we
could have rocked out along with
Joe's
Townes
van Zandt disc
and the beer and fishing song
truckstop tapes purchased in PA. |
