Jesse Paul Miller, Linda Peschong,
and I arrive at CoCA to show movies. We're early. Jesse and I walk
down Pine for groceries--a turkey sandwich for me, Sparks, beer. At Broadway,
I pick up a smashed cellphone from the middle of the street. Jess says,
"Yeah--after the apocalypse." He borrows a Sharpie and draws a mushroon cloud
on his arm. It looks kinda like broccoli. Today is the 58th anniversary of
the bombing of Hiroshima. What a surprise technology can be. I use it as
a stencil, reminiscent of atomic flash shadows....
