today was wet and grey,
ferries
and trees,
whitecaps and manikins...
ben and i drove the old
blue bellingham restore
truck out to bainbridge
island--my first water
crossing on the job
ben aptly noted that
bainbridge is an
anagram for big-
brained. (it is al-
ways fun working
with ben.)
we salvaged a
cabinet or two
from a musty house
(so much for dreams
of rural escape--
too smelly!) and
scored some 3/4"
plywood and a
cheerleader
womanikin from
the basement of
a different place
we managed to
miss the return ferry
by just minutes, sat
2nd in line watching
the rain and eating
our lunch....
