Been five years since I visited my sister and her family in Minnesota. Time has passed no one by: Sarah and David in college now, Emma a junior in high school, my sister's become sporty and her husband remains the embodiment of midwest nice despite what must be a fairly stressful job. Gee whiz, I haven't felt cold like this in ages. It was kind of refreshing. It's been relatively warm lately and Lake Harriet was just now freezing over but that didn't stop a trio of adventurous lads from skating around the edge, tossing a frisbee back and forth as they glid, thin ice warning signs be damned. |
