my fascination with typewriters began
when i was four years old, hunting and
pecking those resisting keys, making it
happen, characters appearing as if by
magic in those naive pre-digital days.
my first typewriter was a blue plastic
Buddy
L, ALL CAPS only keys, design
tasty as candy back when "children's
typewriter" was still a market segment.
that's long gone, but i still own 4 or 5
classic manuals and
considered selling
a couple today, but after photographing
and testing them i just couldn't release.
