I
don't know if I exactly pride myself on my ability
to work alone,
but I do tend to prefer it because it's just that
much easier having to
be responsible only to and for myself. But it was
gratifying today to
be part of a larger team
helping Sarah install her woven vine sculpture
Intertwined at Tacony
Creek Park in Philadelphia, one of three eco
art
pieces situated along the trail near the intersection of Rising
Sun & Olney.
As weaves are stronger than individual strands, so
did our joined efforts
accomplish more than what any one person could
do--assemble a scaffold,
hoist
the 30-foot "snake" 15 feet up a tree, then
carefully twist it between
and around
the forked
trunks. There's a lesson in all this
somewhere....
