the uncanny thing about living in a city is it increases the odds
of encountering your doppelganger, a word which means more
than physical resemblance and implies a paranormal presence.
like maybe the man in the background is future me come back
in time to alter the course of events just a touch to nudge me to
some distant glory or at least help me miss getting hit by a bus.
