is where i kept a sailboat from 2016-2021. it used to be affordable until the parks department outsourced management to a private firm that doubled prices. but anyway, still a nice place to pause between job consultations and i watch a crew rowing and one brave cold water swimmer and wouldn't switch places with either of 'em. this bird deterrent system is on par with art i've seen in fancy galleries and museums--such sensitive composition and attention to detail, i see it as a comment on the insufferable 'tude of geese. i honestly don't know a more disdainful bird, which is why they're called fowl. just kidding, folks! i have a lot of respect for all wild creatures, even the ones that wouldn't extend the same grace to me. but aren't geese just a little bit fascist, what with all the flight formations and goosestepping? ha ha, another joke! i would never disparage the majestic and intelligent Anser, so noble of bearing... and i'm not just saying that in case one of them happens to read this. ...all hail our goose overlords! |
