Sundays
at 9 a.m. I usually get a ride to Hana
with my friendly neighbor Kai. We work
together sometimes
and the moment we met on the job I knew he
had a good heart.
But today he wasn't going in because the
brand new Hana High
School football team he coaches had its
first game ever yesterday
and he was worn out. So with cloth grocery
sack of twenty HI5 cans
and little else I started tramping the 13
miles to Hana because I had to.
